Pune-based robotics startup Peppermint Robotics has raised ₹100 crore (approximately $10.5 million) in a Pre-Series B funding round led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners, as it looks to expand manufacturing capacity and strengthen its international operations.
The round also saw participation from Asiana Fund. The investment comprises a combination of primary capital and secondary share transactions.
Founded in 2019, Peppermint Robotics develops autonomous robots for commercial floor cleaning and material transportation. The company plans to use the fresh capital to develop next-generation robotics solutions, expand manufacturing and establish an assembly line in North America in the coming months.
Expanding autonomous robotics across global markets
Peppermint Robotics has expanded its operations to nine countries, with the United States emerging as its largest market.
Its autonomous robots are deployed across a range of commercial and industrial environments, including factories, hospitals, airports, shopping malls, warehouses, hotels and universities.
The company also serves pharmaceutical cleanrooms, where its robots have passed qualification testing in an EU GMP Grade cleanroom. This gives Peppermint an opportunity to serve environments that require stringent cleanliness and operational standards.
Its product portfolio focuses on two major applications: autonomous floor cleaning and material handling. These solutions are designed to automate repetitive tasks across facilities and industrial operations.
Developing robotics hardware and software in-house
Peppermint develops its robotics hardware, software and perception systems internally.
Its robots use computer vision and LiDAR technology to map their surroundings, plan cleaning routes and identify obstacles. These capabilities allow the machines to navigate operational environments and perform tasks with reduced human intervention.
The company also offers offline robots for security-sensitive environments where internet connectivity may be restricted or unavailable.
By developing its technology stack in-house, Peppermint aims to maintain control over its robotics platforms while adapting solutions to different customer requirements and operating environments.
Funding to support manufacturing and product development
The ₹100 crore investment will support five key areas: research and engineering, manufacturing expansion, North American operations, global market expansion, and recruitment of senior leadership and engineering talent.
A major priority is establishing an assembly line in North America in the coming months. The move is expected to support the company's operations in the United States, which has become its largest market.
Peppermint also plans to expand its autonomous floor-cleaning and material-handling product portfolio while advancing its next-generation cleanroom robotics line.
The investment will help the company strengthen its manufacturing capabilities as it pursues opportunities across international markets.
Previous funding and revenue growth
Peppermint Robotics previously raised ₹34 crore (approximately $4 million) in a Series A funding round in April 2025.
According to the company, its revenue grew nearly sixfold between FY24 and FY26, following a doubling of revenue in the previous year.
The latest Pre-Series B round provides additional capital for the company's next phase of expansion, particularly in manufacturing, product development and overseas operations.
With a presence across nine countries and the US as its largest market, Peppermint is looking to scale its autonomous robotics solutions across commercial facilities, industrial environments and specialised cleanroom applications.
