SiEngine Raises $200M to Advance Automotive AI Chip Development

SiEngine Raises $200 Million

China-based automotive semiconductor company SiEngine Technology has raised $200 million in equity financing from institutional investors during the first half of 2026.

The funding was announced by ECARX Holdings, which co-founded SiEngine alongside Arm China in 2018 and remains the company's largest shareholder.

Expanding Automotive AI Chip Development

SiEngine develops vehicle-grade semiconductor chips designed for intelligent automotive computing platforms.

The company will use the new funding to:

• Accelerate research and development

• Expand production capacity

• Acquire international customers

Its semiconductor products power ECARX's automotive computing and software platforms for next-generation connected vehicles.

Powering Intelligent Vehicles

SiEngine's Longying series of automotive system-on-chips (SoCs) are integrated into ECARX's Antora central computing platforms.

Its 7nm Longying I chip has already been deployed in production vehicles from:

• Geely Galaxy

• Lynk & Co

• FAW Hongqi

The company recently introduced its 5nm Longying II cabin-driving fusion SoC, featuring integrated large language model (LLM) capabilities for ECARX's next-generation Antora platform and Flyme Auto operating system.

Supporting Autonomous Driving

SiEngine and ECARX have also signed a multi-year supply agreement with an unnamed global automaker.

Beyond passenger vehicles, their technologies are expanding into:

• Commercial vehicles

• Robotaxis

The combined hardware and software platform supports autonomous driving capabilities ranging from Level 2 to Level 4.
