Bengaluru-based AI interactive content startup Flam has raised $40 million in Series B funding led by QED Investors, as the company looks to expand its AI models, product portfolio, and enterprise business globally.
The round also saw participation from Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan, and Shah Rukh Khan, alongside existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail.
Founded in 2021 by Shourya Agarwal, Malhar Patil, and Amit Gaiki, Flam develops AI-powered interactive content for enterprises across marketing, product visualisation, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support, and sales.
Building AI-powered interactive content
Flam's platform is designed to move beyond conventional static digital content by allowing users to interact with videos, images, and 3D experiences.
The company's Flicks product enables interactive videos where people, products, or scenes can change during playback. Flam says the product uses a patented compression algorithm and can achieve a 50-millisecond time-to-first-buffer.
Its Forge editing model allows users to modify specific elements of images using references, while Airboards creates high-fidelity 3D experiences that support camera, touch, voice, and haptic interactions.
Flam says its 3D streaming technology can load Airboards in approximately 300 milliseconds without requiring users to install an app.
Developing a portfolio of AI models
The company is also developing Visual Agents, AI-powered characters designed to interact with users through conversations and perform agentic actions.
Its AI stack includes technologies such as Fantom for facial expression, identity preservation and motion transfer, Finesse for multilingual voice capabilities, and Falcon, a 26-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts large language model.
Flam says its AI pipeline can return responses in under two seconds, with Falcon achieving a reported 30-millisecond time-to-first-token.
The startup currently has five AI models and more than 15 patents.
100+ enterprise customers
Flam says it has onboarded more than 100 enterprise customers over the past six quarters, including major companies such as Google, Reliance, and Hyundai.
The company is headquartered in San Francisco, with teams in India and Japan, and is now focused on expanding its enterprise footprint internationally.
Funding to accelerate global expansion
The new $40 million will be used to expand research and development across Flam's AI models, broaden its product suite, and scale enterprise sales globally.
With interactive video, generative media, 3D content, and AI agents converging, Flam is positioning itself at the intersection of enterprise AI and next-generation digital experiences.
The company now has the capital to turn its growing portfolio of AI models and interactive formats into a broader global enterprise platform.
