Gurugram-based deeptech company Zenergize Technologies has raised $4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Giraffe Studios, with participation from industrial entrepreneurs and existing investors.

The round includes a combination of equity and venture debt. Zenergize plans to use the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing capacity, strengthen engineering and research and development, build its sales and service network, and accelerate product development.

The company is also working on hybrid inverters and battery energy storage systems (BESS) as it expands its presence across electric mobility and renewable energy.

Building Silicon Carbide Power Electronics

Founded by Navneet Daga and Veer Karan Goyal, Zenergize develops Silicon Carbide (SiC)-based power electronics designed for electric mobility and renewable energy applications.

Silicon Carbide technology can enable power electronics systems to operate with greater efficiency and higher power density, making it increasingly relevant for electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and renewable energy systems.

Zenergize is developing products across both EV charging and solar power applications.

EV Chargers and Solar Inverters

Zenergize's product portfolio includes solar inverters as well as AC and DC EV chargers.

Its charging products support capacities of up to 240 kW, targeting applications that require high-power charging infrastructure.

The company's solar inverters are designed for renewable energy applications, while its EV charging solutions are aimed at supporting the growing demand for electric mobility infrastructure.

Zenergize says its EV chargers have received automotive certifications, while its solar inverters have received BIS certification.

Rapid Growth After Commercialisation

The company says it has achieved an annual revenue run rate of approximately Rs 30 crore within a year of commercialisation.

Zenergize has also built an order book exceeding Rs 150 crore, indicating demand for its power electronics and charging solutions.

The company now aims to increase its annual revenue run rate to more than Rs 100 crore within the next nine months.

Expanding Manufacturing Capacity

A significant portion of the new funding will go toward increasing Zenergize's manufacturing capacity.

The company plans to strengthen its engineering and R&D capabilities while continuing to develop new products for the electric mobility and renewable energy markets.

The funding will also support the expansion of its sales and service network, allowing Zenergize to reach more customers and provide support for its growing product base.

Expanding Into Energy Storage

Beyond EV chargers and solar inverters, Zenergize is developing hybrid inverters and battery energy storage systems.

Battery energy storage is becoming increasingly important as renewable energy deployment grows, providing a way to store electricity and manage fluctuations in power generation.

Zenergize's expansion into energy storage could allow the company to address a broader range of applications across renewable energy and power management.

Backed by Industrial Investors

The Pre-Series A round was led by Giraffe Studios and includes participation from industrial entrepreneurs and existing investors.

The investor group includes Nikhil Sawhney, Varun Agarwal, Shyam Bagri, Raoul Bajaj, Sunil Kalra, Ajith Pai, Sandeep Barasia, Nitin Jain and Hemant Daga, among others.

The combination of equity and venture debt gives Zenergize additional capital to invest in manufacturing, technology development and commercial expansion.

Targeting the Electric Mobility and Renewable Energy Markets

Zenergize is operating at the intersection of two rapidly expanding sectors: electric mobility and renewable energy.

The increasing adoption of electric vehicles is creating demand for high-power charging infrastructure, while the expansion of solar and other renewable energy sources is increasing the need for efficient power conversion and storage technologies.

By developing SiC-based power electronics across these applications, Zenergize is aiming to build a broader technology platform rather than focusing on a single product category.

Scaling Toward Rs 100 Cr Revenue Run Rate

With its current Rs 30 crore annual revenue run rate and an order book exceeding Rs 150 crore, Zenergize is targeting significant growth over the coming months.

The company expects to cross a Rs 100 crore annual revenue run rate within nine months, supported by additional manufacturing capacity, product development and a larger sales and service network.

The latest funding provides Zenergize with capital to execute this expansion while continuing to develop solutions across EV charging, solar power and energy storage.
