Yardstik, a Minneapolis-based Human Trust Platform for employers, has raised $30 million in Series B funding to expand its workforce fraud prevention, continuous monitoring and credential management capabilities.

The funding round was led by Harbert Growth Partners, with existing investors Rally Ventures, MissionOG, Crosslink Capital, Grotech Ventures and Great North Ventures also participating. The latest investment brings Yardstik's total capital raised to $65 million.

The company plans to use the new funding to accelerate development of fraud prevention and monitoring technology, including motor vehicle reports, OIG exclusion monitoring and automated alerts for expiring worker licenses, insurance and certifications.

Moving Beyond One-Time Background Checks

Traditional employment background checks typically provide employers with information at the time a worker is hired. Yardstik argues that this approach leaves organizations exposed to risks that can emerge later during a worker's employment.

The company is building its platform around continuous workforce monitoring, combining background screening, fraud detection and ongoing verification throughout the employee lifecycle.

According to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the typical occupational fraud scheme lasts around 12 months before detection, while 43% of cases are uncovered through tips.

Yardstik believes continuous monitoring can help employers identify changes and potential risk signals sooner instead of waiting for an annual review or another scheduled background check.

AI and Automation for Workforce Risk

Yardstik recently introduced Fraud Insights and Continuous Monitoring features for all customers at no additional cost.

Fraud Insights provides employers with a live view of aggregate fraud risk signals across their workforce. Continuous Monitoring automatically enrolls screened workers into post-hire monitoring, helping employers reduce manual rechecks and avoid missed monitoring windows.

The platform can alert organizations when important worker credentials change or expire. This includes professional licenses, insurance policies and certifications that may be required for specific roles.

The company's approach is designed to give employers a more continuous view of workforce risk rather than relying on a single background check performed during hiring.

Expanding Fraud Prevention Capabilities

Yardstik plans to use the new capital to expand its fraud prevention technology and monitoring capabilities.

Among the areas of development are motor vehicle report monitoring and OIG exclusion monitoring, as well as automated notifications that can alert employers when a worker's credentials are no longer valid.

The company believes these capabilities can be particularly valuable in industries where workers need to maintain current licenses, certifications or driving records.

By identifying changes closer to when they happen, employers can potentially respond faster to risks that might otherwise remain undetected until a future review.

Strong Revenue and Customer Growth

Yardstik's latest funding round follows a period of rapid business growth.

The company reported 149% year-over-year revenue growth and a 99.4% customer satisfaction rating. It also reported a 98% account retention rate over the past three years.

Yardstik serves organizations across gig marketplaces, staffing, healthcare, transportation and logistics, childcare and other industries.

Its customers include Gopuff, Liveops, Sharetown, TaskRabbit and HUNGRY.

The company was also ranked No. 861 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies, placing it among the top 17% of companies on the list.

Serving Gig, Healthcare and Other Workforces

Yardstik's platform is designed for organizations that manage large or distributed workforces where identity, credentials and ongoing compliance are important.

The company works with gig marketplaces, staffing firms, healthcare organizations, transportation and logistics businesses and childcare providers.

For these organizations, workforce risk can continue to change after a worker has been approved. Yardstik's platform aims to provide continuous visibility into those changes.

The company says customers such as Liveops have used its technology to identify fake identities and credentials and take a more proactive approach to workforce risk.

Integrating With Existing HR Systems

Yardstik can be used directly or integrated into existing human resources and applicant tracking workflows.

The platform offers pre-built integrations with ATS and HR systems including Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Fountain, Bullhorn, Avionté and Paylocity.

Its API-first infrastructure also allows gig marketplaces and technology platforms to embed Yardstik's fraud prevention, identity verification, screening and monitoring capabilities directly into their own products.

This allows organizations to use workforce screening and monitoring without completely changing their existing hiring and HR workflows.

Building a Continuous Workforce Trust Platform

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Yardstik is positioning itself as an alternative to traditional background screening systems that focus primarily on the hiring moment.

The company's broader strategy is to combine fraud prevention, identity verification, background screening and continuous monitoring into a single workforce trust platform.

With the new $30 million Series B investment, Yardstik plans to continue expanding its technology as employers face increasingly sophisticated workforce fraud and compliance risks.

The funding gives the company additional resources to develop automated monitoring tools and strengthen its position across industries where employers need greater visibility into workforce risk throughout the entire employment lifecycle.
