Tripo AI Raises $150 Million in Series A3 Round to Advance AI 3D and World Model Research

Tripo AI, a China-based artificial intelligence startup focused on AI-powered 3D foundation models and world models, has raised $150 million in a Series A3 funding round.

The investment was backed by several investors, including Geely Capital, 4399 Network, Tanwan, Giant Network, Fosun Capital, Orinno Capital, CoStone Capital, Addor Capital, T-Capital, and Muhua Tech Ventures, among others.

Funding to Support Research and Global Expansion

The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its AI 3D and world model research capabilities. In addition, it aims to expand its research team, improve core algorithms, enhance its data and computing infrastructure, and grow its global product ecosystem.

These investments are expected to support the company's long-term development in AI-generated 3D content and spatial computing technologies.

Building AI Tools for 3D Content Creation

Founded in 2023 by Simon Song and Guoli Su, Tripo AI develops artificial intelligence tools that help users create, edit, and interact with 3D content and persistent virtual environments.

The company has built an integrated platform that combines its proprietary 3D foundation models, world model research, creative workspace, and ecosystem applications. As a result, users can generate and manage 3D assets through a single platform.

Serving Multiple Industries

Tripo AI serves both individual creators and enterprise customers across a range of industries. Its technology supports applications in gaming, interactive entertainment, film production, VR and AR experiences, digital twins, intelligent manufacturing, embodied AI, and other spatial computing use cases.

The company says its AI research capabilities and spatial asset infrastructure form the foundation of its platform as it continues to expand its presence in global markets.
