Flexprice, a Bengaluru-based startup that develops open-source billing and metering software for AI and API-first businesses, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding.
The funding round was led by Shastra VC. Existing investors TDV Partners and entrepreneur Anupam Mittal also participated.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its presence in the United States and Europe. In addition, it aims to develop new products focused on financial workflows, revenue recognition, and advanced metering capabilities.
Founded by Manish Choudhary, who serves as Co-Founder and CEO, Flexprice provides billing infrastructure designed for companies that use usage-based pricing models. The platform supports usage-based, credit-based, and hybrid pricing structures while offering real-time metering and reporting tools.
As AI and SaaS companies continue to adopt consumption-based pricing, managing billing operations has become more complex. Flexprice helps automate billing processes related to token usage, compute consumption, and outcome-based pricing models.
The platform also integrates with payment providers such as Stripe, Adyen, and Razorpay. According to the company, it currently processes more than 20 billion usage events every month.
Flexprice said it recorded a six-fold increase in revenue during the previous quarter as demand for flexible billing and metering solutions continued to grow among AI-native businesses.
