Muun AI, a Singapore-based startup, focuses on converting raw industrial machine data into actionable insights. The company has raised $700,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Wavemaker Impact.
Industrial Data Remains Underutilized
Across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, and commercial real estate, companies invest heavily in digitizing operations. However, a large portion of machine-generated data remains unused.
As a result, operational decisions often rely on limited or generalized insights. This creates inefficiencies, especially in environments where machine performance varies over time.
A System to Contextualize Machine Data
Muun AI has developed an industrial data-labeling engine that processes machine data in real time. It analyzes inputs such as temperature, pressure, and timing without relying on historical datasets or pre-trained models.
In addition, the system treats each machine as a separate unit. This approach allows operators to monitor performance more precisely instead of applying a single average standard across all machines.
Focus on Predictive and Explainable Insights
The platform provides operator-ready outputs, including completion forecasts and anomaly detection. Over time, it builds predictive capabilities as more data becomes available.
Importantly, the system also offers explainability. Each output can be traced back to its source data, which helps teams understand how decisions are generated.
Expansion Plans After Funding
Currently, Muun AI is being tested on live production data at a manufacturing facility in Singapore.
Following the funding round, the company plans to expand its AI team. Moreover, it aims to scale its deployments across manufacturing and other energy-intensive sectors. The company also intends to convert ongoing pilot projects into long-term partnerships.
