Bengaluru-based Oppex AI, an AI-native platform focused on production operations, has raised Rs 4.2 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand the company's team and scale deployments with enterprise customers.

Founded in June 2025 by Prasun Kumar and Pranit Kumar, Oppex AI is building an agentic platform designed to transform production incident management from a human-led process into an AI-led workflow.

Building an AI Layer for Production Operations

Production incidents can require engineering teams to search across logs, monitoring systems, cloud infrastructure, customer support platforms and internal documentation before identifying the cause of a problem.

Oppex AI is designed to bring these different sources of information together.

Its platform collects context from observability tools, customer support systems, cloud infrastructure, internal runbooks and other enterprise systems to understand what is happening during a production incident.

The goal is to allow AI agents to investigate incidents, identify potential root causes and automate parts of the response process.

Moving From Human-Led to AI-Led Incident Management

Traditional incident management often depends heavily on engineers manually investigating alerts and coordinating responses.

Oppex AI is attempting to change that workflow by giving AI agents responsibility for understanding production incidents and assisting with resolution.

The platform is designed to detect incidents, investigate the available signals and determine the actions required to resolve problems.

This approach could reduce the amount of time engineering teams spend firefighting production issues and allow them to focus more heavily on product development.

Connecting Enterprise Systems

One of the challenges Oppex AI is targeting is the fragmented nature of production data.

A single incident can generate signals across application monitoring, infrastructure, cloud services, customer support and internal documentation.

Oppex AI's platform is designed to connect these sources and provide an AI agent with the broader context needed to understand an incident.

The system can use information from internal runbooks and enterprise knowledge bases alongside technical signals, helping it understand both what is happening and how the organization normally responds to similar situations.

Addressing Increasing Software Complexity

The startup is entering the market as artificial intelligence accelerates software development and increases deployment velocity.

Faster development can result in more frequent deployments and increasingly complex production environments.

As systems become more distributed, engineering teams can face a growing number of logs, metrics, alerts and infrastructure signals that need to be analyzed when something goes wrong.

Oppex AI believes agentic systems can help manage this complexity by continuously analyzing these signals and assisting with incident response.

Expanding Across Global Enterprise Markets

Oppex AI says its platform is already being adopted by enterprise customers across India, the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States.

The company plans to use its new funding to expand deployments and strengthen its platform.

The startup is also focused on expanding the capabilities of its agentic system as it works toward making AI-led production operations more practical for enterprise technology teams.

Keeping Reliability Alongside AI-Driven Development

As companies increasingly use AI to accelerate software development, maintaining reliability and customer experience becomes an important challenge.

Oppex AI's broader objective is to ensure that faster software development does not result in weaker production reliability.

By introducing an AI layer between production signals and incident response, the company wants organizations to increase development velocity while maintaining operational stability and customer trust.

Fresh Capital to Scale the Platform

The Rs 4.2 crore pre-seed investment from Info Edge Ventures provides Oppex AI with capital to continue developing its technology and expanding its team.

The company will also focus on scaling its customer deployments across international markets.

As enterprise technology environments become more complex and software teams move toward increasingly automated development workflows, Oppex AI is positioning its agentic platform as a way to automate one of the most time-consuming parts of modern software operations: investigating and resolving production incidents.
