InfoHawk Raises $2.25 Million in Pre-Seed Funding Round

Austin-based cybersecurity startup InfoHawk has raised $2.25 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Moonshots Capital.

The company said it will use the fresh capital to strengthen its operations and accelerate product development.

Founded by Rob Leathern, Ben Poiesz, and Jamie McCrindle, InfoHawk develops an artificial intelligence-powered platform that helps organizations identify and respond to online fraud, scams, and deceptive digital activity.

Addressing Online Deception at Scale

As cyber threats continue to evolve, businesses face increasing risks from fake websites, deepfakes, and fraudulent online campaigns. InfoHawk's platform is designed to help enterprises detect such threats before they cause financial or reputational damage.

The software continuously scans online environments to identify suspicious content, including cloned websites, copied brand assets, and AI-generated media that may be used to mislead employees or consumers.

Mapping Fraud Networks Beyond Individual Threats

In addition to identifying fraudulent content, InfoHawk analyzes the technical infrastructure behind online scams. This approach allows organizations to gain visibility into the broader networks used by threat actors rather than focusing only on individual incidents.

By mapping these connections, companies can better understand how deceptive operations are structured and how they spread across digital channels.
