Hadrian Secures $1.37 Billion Funding Round

Defense manufacturing startup Hadrian has raised $1.37 billion in a new funding round, valuing the company at $7.87 billion (approximately $8 billion).

The round was led by WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures, and Baillie Gifford.

Additional investors include 1789 Capital, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, funds managed by Apollo and T. Rowe Price, CapitalG, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Founders Fund, Lux Capital, Altimeter, and several other institutional investors.

The latest financing brings Hadrian's total capital raised to approximately $2 billion, according to PitchBook estimates.

Automating Defense Manufacturing

Founded to modernize defense manufacturing, Hadrian develops highly automated manufacturing facilities that mass-produce precision components for military and aerospace platforms.

Rather than building weapons systems, the company focuses on manufacturing the parts required for defense equipment, helping strengthen industrial capacity and supply chains.

Its automated factories produce components used in:

  • Military vehicles

  • Aerospace systems

  • Naval platforms

  • Defense manufacturing supply chains

Expanding U.S. Defense Production

Earlier this year, Hadrian opened its fourth manufacturing facility in Alabama to mass-produce components for U.S. submarines.

The facility was established through a public-private partnership valued at $2.4 billion, supporting increased production capacity for the U.S. defense industrial base.

Funding to Scale Manufacturing Capacity

The new capital will support Hadrian's continued expansion of automated manufacturing facilities as demand grows for domestic defense production.

The company aims to increase manufacturing capacity while improving efficiency through automation and advanced production technologies.

Leadership
