FuVeX Secures €3 Million to Scale AI Drone Solutions

Spanish drone technology company FuVeX has raised €3 million to accelerate the commercial expansion of its AI-powered long-range drone platform for civil and defense applications.

The funding was backed by SODENA, SEGO Venture, Izertis Ventures, and several family offices linked to the industrial, agricultural, and innovation sectors.

AI-Powered Drones for Critical Infrastructure

Founded by Carlos Matilla, who serves as Founder & CEO, FuVeX develops, manufactures, and operates long-range dual-use drones designed for both commercial and defense missions.

Its platform combines:

• Long-range unmanned aircraft

• Operational management systems

• AI-powered analytics

The technology automates the inspection and surveillance of large-scale infrastructure, helping operators detect anomalies, monitor assets, and support maintenance decisions in hard-to-reach environments.

Growing Presence Across Critical Industries

FuVeX currently holds operational authorizations for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flights of up to 10 kilometres and has secured eight patents covering its proprietary drone technologies.

Its solutions are already used by major utility companies, including:

• UFD-Naturgy

• Endesa

The platform also supports infrastructure monitoring across energy, utilities, and industrial environments.

Funding to Drive International Expansion

The company will use the new capital to:

• Expand commercial operations across Europe and Latin America

• Strengthen its presence in the defense and security sectors

• Increase manufacturing and operational capacity

• Expand into agriculture, oil & gas, and other critical infrastructure markets
