Brazil-based fintech startup Jota has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round at a post-money valuation of $185 million.

The funding round was led by Haun Ventures. Existing and new investors, including HOF Capital, Alter Global, and Greyhound Capital, also participated in the round.

The company said it plans to use the fresh capital to expand its credit products, strengthen customer acquisition efforts, and improve its AI-driven financial assistant platform called “Jota 3.0.”

Founded in 2024 by Davi Holanda, Jota offers an AI-powered banking and financial operations platform for entrepreneurs and small businesses. The platform is available through WhatsApp and a mobile application.

Users can complete banking and financial tasks through text messages, voice notes, and images. These services include making payments, checking financial records, and reviewing business insights.

The startup primarily generates revenue through “FalaTap,” its smartphone-based point-of-sale solution launched in May 2026. The software allows merchants to accept card payments directly through mobile devices while also offering receivables advances and payment processing services.

Jota operates in Brazil’s growing digital banking and fintech sector, where startups are increasingly developing AI-based tools for small business financial management.
