Fora Becomes TravelTech Unicorn with $60 Million Series D
New York-based travel technology platform Fora has raised $60 million in a Series D funding round at a $1 billion post-money valuation, becoming one of the few female co-founded unicorns in the travel industry.
The round was led by Forerunner Ventures and Tactile Ventures, with participation from existing investors Thrive Capital, Insight Partners, and Heartcore Capital. New investors included PLUS Capital, BlackPines Capital Partners, and Tribeca Venture Partners.
Empowering a New Generation of Travel Advisors
Founded in 2021 by Henley Vazquez, Evan Frank, and Jake Peters, Fora provides a platform that enables individuals with no prior travel industry experience to build independent travel advisory businesses.
The company offers training, supplier partnerships, AI-powered itinerary tools, and operational support through its AI assistant, Via. Today, 97% of its more than 15,000 active advisors had never previously worked in travel.
Scaling AI-Driven Travel Services
Fora has surpassed $3 billion in lifetime travel bookings, with its third billion achieved in just five months.
The new funding will support expansion of its AI platform, entry into new markets, and growth across cruise, flight, and enterprise travel offerings.
