Catch AI, an AI startup building an executive-focused digital assistant, has raised $5 million in seed funding to develop AI agents capable of handling administrative tasks from start to finish.
The funding round was backed by Seedcamp alongside Entrée Capital, Pitango and Factorial Capital. The company is focused on building an AI agent that can execute tasks on behalf of busy executives while maintaining human control over important decisions and financial transactions.
Catch AI Raises $5M Seed Round
Catch AI was founded by co-founders Nir Sabato and Yoav Ramon, who spent extensive time researching how executives and executive assistants manage administrative work.
The founders spoke with more than 100 executive assistants across banks, consulting firms and startups to understand the repetitive tasks that consume time during a typical working day.
Their research led to a focused approach - rather than attempting to build an AI agent capable of doing everything, Catch is designed specifically around the administrative needs of business executives.
From Reminders to Actual Execution
Catch AI is designed to execute tasks instead of simply reminding users that something needs to be done.
For example, if the platform identifies that an executive has booked a flight without accommodation, it can search for suitable hotels based on the executive's preferences and present an option for approval.
Once the executive approves the booking, Catch can complete the transaction directly through the chat.
This approach is designed to turn AI from a passive productivity tool into an active assistant capable of completing administrative workflows.
Keeping Humans in Control
A key part of Catch's product philosophy is maintaining user control over sensitive actions.
The platform requires explicit approval before making financial transactions. This means the AI can research options and prepare an action, but the final decision remains with the executive.
The approach is particularly relevant as businesses become more cautious about autonomous AI agents making decisions without human oversight.
Built for Business Leaders
Many advanced AI agents and automation tools require technical users to configure workflows, integrations and complex instructions.
Catch is designed specifically for executives and business leaders who may not want to manage complicated AI systems.
The startup's goal is to provide a simple interface where users can communicate with the agent naturally while Catch handles the underlying administrative work.
Research-Driven Product Development
The founders' conversations with more than 100 executive assistants played an important role in shaping the product.
Rather than building a broad, general-purpose agent, Catch is focusing on a narrower set of high-value administrative tasks.
The company believes that an AI agent that is meaningful, secure and consistently useful can provide more value than an overly broad system that attempts to automate too many tasks before it is ready.
Investors Back Executive AI Automation
Seedcamp is backing Catch AI alongside Entrée Capital, Pitango and Factorial Capital.
Seedcamp Managing Partner Carlos Eduardo Espinal highlighted the startup's extensive research and its focus on building an agent that provides practical value.
The latest funding will help Catch continue product development as it works toward making AI-powered executive assistance more capable and reliable.
As AI agents increasingly move from answering questions to taking actions, Catch AI is positioning itself around a specific use case - helping executives delegate everyday administrative work while keeping humans in control of important decisions.
