New York-based M1X Global has raised $5.5 million in seed funding to advance its blockchain-powered sovereign financial infrastructure and expand institutional adoption of its on-chain capital market platform.
The funding round was led by Paradigm, with strategic participation from Breed VC. Several early angel investors also joined the round.
Funding to Support Platform Expansion
M1X Global plans to use the new capital to expand the institutional rollout of its flagship sovereign bond offering. In addition, the company will strengthen its engineering and compliance teams.
The investment will also support the development of programmable public market systems that operate around the clock on public blockchain networks.
Building Blockchain-Based Sovereign Financial Infrastructure
Founded by CEO Mark Lurie, President and COO Jordan Goldman, and Robert Muller, M1X Global develops blockchain-based infrastructure for sovereign debt issuance.
The company focuses on enabling governments to issue fully collateralized and programmable financial instruments directly on public blockchains. Its technology aims to modernize sovereign capital markets while maintaining institutional-grade compliance and security.
Partnership With the Republic of the Marshall Islands
M1X Global works with the Republic of the Marshall Islands through a public-private partnership. Together, they manage USDM1, a U.S. dollar-denominated sovereign bond issued natively on-chain.
According to the company, the bond is backed one-to-one by short-duration U.S. Treasury securities.
To support institutional deployment, M1X Global also partners with Anchorage Digital Bank, Cleary Gottlieb, and tZERO. These organizations provide bankruptcy-remote collateral infrastructure and legal support for the platform.
