CORE Biomedicine Secures $21 Million in Series A Funding
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based CORE Biomedicine has raised $21 million in Series A financing to advance its precision oncology therapeutics pipeline.
The round was co-led by UTokyo Innovation Platform Co., Ltd. and Elikon Venture, with participation from InnoPinnacle Fund, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital Co., Ltd., Suzhou Capital Group Co., Ltd., CD Capital, YuanBio Venture Capital, Vision Incubate Co., Ltd., and Root Venture Partners.
Led by CEO Dr. Ping Zhu, CORE Biomedicine is developing precision cancer therapies that target the core biological pathways responsible for defining cancer cell identity.
Developing Lineage-Based Precision Oncology Therapies
CORE Biomedicine's lineage-based therapeutic platform focuses on identifying and targeting core oncology drivers beyond genomics.
By targeting the biological pathways that determine cancer cell identity, the company aims to discover new precision medicines capable of expanding the number of patients who may benefit from targeted cancer therapies.
The platform is designed to uncover therapeutic opportunities that extend beyond traditional genomic approaches to precision oncology.
Advancing Early Clinical Development
The newly raised funding will be used to advance CORE Biomedicine's lead therapeutic programs through drug discovery and early clinical development.
