Indian luxury watch brand Rotoris has raised Rs 70 crore, approximately $7.4 million, in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures. The round also included participation from 9Unicorns, Centricity, several family offices, and actor and television host Rannvijay Singha.
The company plans to use the fresh capital for research and development, expanding production, and growing its physical presence in India and international markets.
Founded by Prerna Gupta and Aakash Anand, Rotoris operates an invitation-only model through its Registry. According to the company, its first collection of 2,100 numbered watches sold out within days of its launch in February 2026. Since then, nearly 100,000 people have registered for access to its watches.
Rotoris also reported that 40% of demand comes from outside India, including markets such as the United States, Dubai, and Australia.
Blume Ventures Leads Rotoris' Series A Round
The Rs 70 crore Series A round brings together institutional investors, family offices, and individual participants.
Alongside lead investor Blume Ventures, the round included 9Unicorns and Centricity. Family office participants included Diwakar Goel, Atul Singh, and Adhiraj Burman. Rannvijay Singha also invested in the round.
The new funding follows Rotoris' $3 million seed round in December 2025. That round was led by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, actor-investor Vivek Anand Oberoi, Venture Catalysts, 100 Unicorns, and Tanmay Bhat. More than 30 founders also participated, including Mamaearth's Varun Alagh, Noise's Gaurav Khatri, and Snitch's Siddharth Dungarwal.
The latest investment will support the company's next stage of development, with priorities spanning product research, production capacity, and physical retail expansion.
An Invitation-Only Approach to Luxury Watches
Rotoris has built its customer acquisition model around an invitation-only Registry rather than relying solely on conventional retail access.
The company's reported sellout of its initial 2,100-watch collection and its subsequent waitlist registrations suggest strong early interest in the brand. However, registrations represent interest in gaining access, not necessarily completed purchases.
The invitation-only model gives Rotoris a way to manage access to its collections while building a customer community around the brand.
Its next challenge will be to convert that interest into sustained demand as production expands and more customers gain access to its watches.
Product Collections and Watchmaking
Rotoris offers collections including Manifesta, which features natural stone dials, and Astonia, a chronograph built around a Swiss movement.
The company assembles and tests its watches at the Rotoris Atelier in Gurugram. It sources movements from Switzerland and Japan, combining internationally sourced components with assembly and testing in India.
The brand's product strategy places emphasis on design, materials, and watchmaking details. Its planned investment in research and development could support further product development as the company expands its collections.
The funding announcement does not specify the number of new models planned or the production targets associated with the expansion.
Expanding Physical Presence in India and Overseas
Rotoris plans to grow its physical presence through Rotoris House. The company intends to expand beyond Delhi, with Mumbai and New York among its planned locations.
Physical retail could give customers a place to experience the watches in person, an important consideration for a premium product category where materials, finishing, fit, and design can influence purchase decisions.
The company's reported international demand also provides a potential foundation for expansion outside India. With 40% of demand reportedly coming from overseas markets, Rotoris is looking to build a presence that reaches beyond its domestic customer base.
The timing and scale of the planned openings have not been specified in the source announcement.
Founders Bring Consumer Brand-Building Experience
Rotoris was founded by Prerna Gupta and Aakash Anand.
Before building Rotoris, Anand built and scaled beauty and personal care brand Bella Vita before exiting the business. At Rotoris, Gupta leads the company with a focus on premium brand building and customer experience.
The founders are now applying their experience to a different consumer category, where product design, manufacturing, brand positioning, and customer access all play roles in shaping demand.
What's Next for Rotoris?
The Rs 70 crore Series A round gives Rotoris additional capital to develop its products, increase production, and expand its physical presence.
Its early traction is notable: the company says its first 2,100 numbered watches sold out within days, nearly 100,000 people have registered for access, and international markets account for 40% of demand.
The next phase will test whether Rotoris can scale beyond its initial collection while maintaining the product and brand positioning that attracted early customers. Expansion into Mumbai and New York could also help the company reach more customers, although the timing and execution of those plans remain to be seen.
For India's premium consumer brands, Rotoris offers a case study in combining limited access, product-led positioning, and investor backing. Its long-term progress will depend on converting early interest into repeatable demand and building a retail and production model that can support growth.
