Aurenar Secures $5.7 Million in Seed Funding
St. Louis, Missouri-based Aurenar has raised $5.7 million in Seed funding to advance the development of its non-invasive neuromodulation platform for critical care patients.
The round was co-led by the Go Red for Women Venture Fund, part of American Heart Association Ventures, and Solas BioVentures, with participation from BJC Health and Kaleida Capital.
Led by Founder and CEO Dr. Eric Leuthardt, Aurenar develops a single-use neuromodulation platform designed to reduce life-threatening complications in intensive care unit (ICU) patients.
Developing Non-Invasive Neuromodulation Technology
Aurenar's flagship platform, V-Link™, delivers transauricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) through a non-invasive, single-use device.
The technology is designed to modulate the body's inflammatory response in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and other high-acuity critical care conditions, with the goal of reducing serious complications in intensive care settings.
Advancing Toward FDA Trials
The newly raised capital will support the company's progress toward pivotal clinical trials.
Funding will be used for final device development, verification and validation (V&V) testing, and regulatory submissions to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The investment will help Aurenar prepare its neuromodulation platform for future clinical evaluation and regulatory review.
