Job Summary:
As an Analyst in Credit Analysis for Wealth Management, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), trusts, privately held businesses, Not for Profit and Commercial Real Estate entities seeking tailored credit solutions. Your role involves analyzing financial statements, collateral, and risk profiles to provide insights and recommendations that support personalized lending decisions. You will collaborate with relationship managers and internal stakeholders to structure credit facilities that align with the clients’ wealth management goals while adhering to Northern Trust’s risk management framework. This position offers exposure to sophisticated financial products, a dynamic work environment, and opportunities to develop expertise in credit analysis for the wealth management sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and financial data to assess the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses.
Prepare credit memos and provide detailed recommendations to support lending and investment decisions.
Monitor borrower performance and ensure timely identification of potential risks by conducting thorough annual reviews.
Collaborate with onshore partners and relationship managers to develop tailored credit solutions.
Ensure adherence to Northern Trust’s credit policies, compliance standards, process-related guidelines, and controls.
Adhere to established QUALITY & QUANTITY SLAs consistently.
Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting credit risk.
Pay attention to detail to ensure all documents are processed correctly.
Identify changes to processes to improve productivity and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
0-1 years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements.
Basic knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment. Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
Internship experience in banking, finance, or credit analysis is a plus.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, credit scoring, or risk management software.
Relevant certifications (CFA Level 1, FRM, CMA, ACCA etc.) are advantageous but not mandatory
