Zaydn Raises $681K Seed Round Led by Inflection Point Ventures
Homegrown sneaker brand Zaydn has raised $681,000 in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from BeyondSeed and other angel investors, as the company looks to scale production, strengthen its brand and expand its presence across India's growing sneaker market.
The fresh capital will be used to increase inventory and production capacity, strengthen working capital and accelerate growth across Zaydn's direct-to-consumer (D2C) business and key online marketplaces. The company will also invest in product development, brand building, technology and team expansion.
Founded in 2022 by Ankit Dass, Zaydn was later joined by co-founder Vidushi Chaudhary. The Delhi-based brand focuses on design-led and comfortable sneakers aimed at Gen-Z consumers, with an emphasis on making premium-looking footwear accessible at mass-premium price points.
Zaydn operates with in-house manufacturing capabilities and a digital-first business model. Its product range is designed around everyday comfort while incorporating trend-led and expressive designs aimed at younger Indian consumers.
The company's sneakers feature elements such as wide toe boxes, lightweight TPR soles, dual cushioning, memory foam insoles and breathable uppers. These features are intended to combine everyday comfort with the styling associated with more premium sneaker brands.
Zaydn is targeting a segment of India's footwear market where younger consumers are increasingly looking for products that combine design, affordability and lifestyle positioning. The brand is attempting to differentiate itself through its product design and accessible pricing while expanding through online channels.
India's sneaker market has also attracted increasing attention from homegrown brands and investors. Market research cited by the company estimates that India's sneaker market was valued at around $3.2 billion in 2024 and could reach approximately $4.49 billion by 2030, representing annual growth of nearly 6%.
Zaydn operates in an increasingly competitive market that includes brands such as Comet, Gully Labs, Neeman's, Thaely, Banjaaran and Bacca Bucci. These companies are developing differentiated sneaker offerings while expanding their reach through online and offline distribution.
Other Indian sneaker startups have also attracted venture capital. Gully Labs raised Rs 8.7 crore in seed funding in 2025 before securing a Rs 30 crore Series A round led by Saama Capital in January 2026. Comet previously raised a $5.08 million Series A round led by Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, while Neeman's and Thaely have also received venture backing.
For Zaydn, the latest seed funding provides capital to increase its inventory and manufacturing capacity while investing further in product development and brand building. The company's ability to scale production and distribution while maintaining its design and affordability proposition will be key as competition intensifies across India's sneaker market.
