Yantra Packs Raises Rs 12 Cr in Seed Round Led by Caret Capital
Gurugram-based technology-driven asset-pooling and reusable packaging startup Yantra Packs has raised Rs 12 crore in a seed funding round led by Caret Capital as it looks to expand its operations across India and scale its reusable packaging asset pool.
The fresh funding will be used to strengthen Yantra Packs' technology capabilities, expand its presence across the country and increase the scale of its reusable packaging assets, the company said in a press release.
Founded in 2020 by Vipin Battu and Karan Saharan, Yantra Packs provides reusable packaging assets to businesses through asset rental and pooling models. Its offerings include pallets, crates, containers and other returnable transport items used across industrial and supply-chain operations.
The company's technology platform, Trakkia, provides asset tracking and supply-chain visibility. The platform is designed to help enterprises monitor asset utilisation, manage asset lifecycles and reduce costs and losses associated with packaging.
Yantra Packs says it currently serves more than 30 enterprise customers, with over 250,000 containers in active circulation. Its network spans eight warehouses and more than 100 customer touchpoints across manufacturing clusters.
The company's asset-pooling model is designed to help businesses access reusable packaging without having to individually purchase and manage large inventories of pallets, crates and containers. By tracking these assets through its technology platform, Yantra Packs aims to improve visibility and utilisation across supply chains.
The latest funding builds on the company's previous fundraising. Yantra Packs raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed round from Impact Infracap in December 2024.
The reusable packaging market is attracting increasing interest as companies look for ways to improve supply-chain efficiency and reduce the costs associated with single-use or poorly tracked transport packaging.
Yantra Packs operates in a competitive market alongside companies including Leap India, Holisol Logistics, Econovus and Goodpack.
Other players in the segment have also recently attracted investor attention. Econovus Packaging raised Rs 40 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Rainmatter, with participation from Rockstud Capital, while InfinityBox raised Rs 14.1 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Rainmatter.
For Yantra Packs, the latest capital provides an opportunity to expand its asset pool and technology infrastructure while increasing its reach across India's manufacturing and supply-chain ecosystem. The company's ability to scale its reusable asset network while maintaining high utilisation across customers will be important as competition in the sector increases.
