Swarm Aero, an Oxnard, CA-based developer of large uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms, raised $35M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Two Sigma Ventures and Silent Ventures with participation from its Seed investors Khosla Ventures, Scribble Ventures, Friends & Family Capital, Construct Capital, Coatue, Founders Fund, Alumni Ventures, and MaC Venture Capital.

The raise brought the total amount to $59M.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development and deployment of the company’s large UAV and the swarm software that enables drones to be controlled at scale.

Led by CEO Danny Goodman, Swarm Aero is an aerospace and defense company specializing in the development of large-scale unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms.

Its command and control software, Legion, allows operators to express mission objectives and translate them into commands for a large number of robotic systems in the air, on land, or at sea.

The company has additional locations in Spokane, WA, Fayetteville, AR, and Washington D.C.
