BGauss Raises Rs 110 Cr Series D at Rs 1,000 Cr Valuation

Electric two-wheeler maker BGauss has raised Rs 110 crore ($11.6 million) in a Series D funding round led by founder Hemant Mahendrakumar Kabra, as the company looks to strengthen its operations, product portfolio and expansion plans.

The round includes participation from existing investor Bharat Value Fund and other investors. According to a regulatory filing sourced from the Registrar of Companies, the board approved the allotment of 17,26,846 Series D compulsorily convertible preference shares at Rs 637 per share, including a face value of Rs 10 and a premium of Rs 627.

Kabra invested Rs 50 crore in the latest round, while Bharat Value Fund contributed Rs 44 crore. Adesh Realtor LLP invested Rs 10 crore and Maithan Alloys contributed another Rs 6 crore.

The latest transaction values BGauss at around Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 1,100 crore on a post-money basis. The funding provides the electric two-wheeler manufacturer with additional capital to scale its operations, strengthen its product portfolio and support its expansion plans.

The latest round could form part of a larger fundraising, meaning the company's final valuation may change depending on any additional capital raised.

Founded in 2020 by Hemant Kabra, BGauss develops electric scooters focused on combining design with technology and practical features. Its products incorporate technologies such as AI-enabled systems and IoT integration, alongside fast-charging capabilities and low-maintenance requirements.

The company has been gaining traction in India's electric two-wheeler market. BGauss recorded 5,518 retail registrations in July 2026, representing nearly three-fold year-on-year growth. Despite the increase, the company accounted for around 0.3% of India's electric two-wheeler market during the month.

BGauss operates in an increasingly competitive electric two-wheeler segment, where manufacturers are investing heavily in product development, technology, manufacturing and distribution.

The company competes with electric vehicle startups and newer players such as Ather and River Mobility, while also facing competition from established automotive manufacturers including Ola Electric, Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto.

The latest funding builds on BGauss' previous institutional fundraising. In January 2025, the company raised $18.6 million from Bharat Value Fund. Earlier, in April 2022, BGauss raised Rs 52 crore, or around $6 million, in a Series A round led by Darshan Patel, founder of Vini Cosmetics, along with other investors.

The new capital arrives as India's electric two-wheeler market continues to see intense competition, with manufacturers seeking to increase market share through new products, technology improvements and wider distribution networks.

For BGauss, the Series D funding provides additional financial resources to pursue its expansion strategy at a time when the electric two-wheeler market is becoming increasingly crowded. Its ability to convert recent registration growth into sustained market share will be an important factor as the company enters its next stage of growth.
