UNIT AI Secures $12 Million in Funding
Boston-based UNIT AI, a physical AI company focused on warehouse automation, has raised $12 million in funding to expand its modular automation platform for retailers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
The round was co-led by Dynamo Ventures, Prologis Ventures, and Ground Up Ventures, with participation from eGateway Capital, Recursive Ventures, Think + Ventures, ZEP Fund, and Crosscourt.
The company was founded by Guy Glass and Avihou Barkay. Glass previously co-founded Caja Robotics, which was acquired by Fives Group in 2025.
Making Warehouse Automation More Accessible
UNIT AI develops a Physical AI platform that automates inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns without requiring businesses to redesign existing warehouse facilities.
Unlike traditional warehouse automation systems that often require significant infrastructure changes, UNIT AI says its modular solution can be installed in warehouses as small as 1,000 square feet while utilizing existing shelving and flooring. According to the company, customers can achieve a return on investment within 12 months.
The platform currently serves customers including Barrett, ShipCalm, DaVinci, and Carter, along with several global apparel brands.
Scaling Across North America
The newly raised funding will be used to:
Expand deployment capacity
Accelerate product development
Support commercial growth across North America
The company aims to make enterprise-grade warehouse automation more accessible for retailers and logistics providers that have traditionally been unable to invest in large-scale robotics systems.
Neither the company's valuation nor its total funding to date was disclosed.
