Standard Bots, a robotics company based in Glen Cove, New York, has raised $200 million in a Series C funding round, bringing its valuation to $1 billion.

The funding round was co-led by General Catalyst and RoboStrategy. Existing and new investors, including Amazon, Samsung Next, Box Group, and GiantLeap Capital, also participated.

Funding to Support Manufacturing and Product Development

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing operations in New York. As part of this effort, Standard Bots will increase its facility size to 70,000 square feet.

In addition, the company intends to strengthen its production capabilities and accelerate hiring across its engineering teams. These investments are expected to support growing demand for its robotics solutions.

Building AI-Powered Industrial Robots

Standard Bots develops AI-native industrial robots designed for manufacturing environments. Its product portfolio includes 6-axis collaborative robotic arms and industrial humanoid systems.

The company uses Nvidia’s Isaac physical AI platform to power its robotics technology. As a result, operators can train robots through manual demonstrations rather than traditional programming methods. This approach aims to simplify robot deployment and reduce technical barriers on factory floors.

Leadership and Market Presence

The company is led by Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Engineer Evan Beard. He works alongside Co-founders David Golden and James Cordle.

Standard Bots serves customers across industrial, defense, and government sectors. Its client list includes organizations such as Lockheed Martin, NASA, Sunoco, and the U.S. Army.

According to the company, it is on track to support approximately 10% of new industrial robot deployments in the United States, reflecting its growing presence in the domestic robotics market.
