The funding round was co-led by TCGX and ARCH Venture Partners. Existing and new investors including Andreessen Horowitz Bio + Health, Blackstone, Commodore Capital, CPP Investments, RA Capital Management, T. Rowe Price, Mubadala Capital, and Monograph Capital also participated.
Following the investment, Cariad Chester joined Ollin Biosciences’ board of directors as a representative of TCGX.
The Austin-based company said it will use the capital to support global Phase 3 clinical trials for OLN324. The therapy is being developed as a VEGF/Ang2 antibody treatment targeting retinal diseases linked to vision loss.
Ollin Biosciences was founded in 2023 and focuses on acquiring and developing therapies for ophthalmic conditions. The company is building a pipeline aimed at treating diseases that affect retinal health and vision.
Earlier this year, Ollin completed the JADE clinical study involving 164 patients. The study compared OLN324 with faricimab, marketed as Vabysmo. According to the company, OLN324 showed improvements in retinal anatomy across patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) and wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD).
