When patients receive a specialist referral or a complex diagnosis, they often manage the next steps on their own. As a result, they take on roles such as coordinating care, tracking medical history, and handling insurance processes.
myStoria aims to simplify this experience. The startup is building a system that helps patients organise and understand their health information more effectively.
Funding to scale platform capabilities
The company has raised $1.625 million in a seed round. The round was led by Graphite Ventures, with participation from Conexus Venture Capital, Adrenaline Fund, Phoenix Fire Fund, and several angel investors.
This funding will support product development and expand the platform’s use cases within reproductive health.
Initial focus on fertility and IVF
myStoria initially focused on fertility and IVF care. These areas often involve delayed diagnoses and fragmented treatment journeys. Therefore, patients frequently face challenges in accessing consistent and coordinated care.
Founder and CEO Jessica Chalk built the platform after her own experience with infertility. Over six years, she underwent multiple treatments, spending more than $100,000. Consequently, the platform reflects gaps she encountered during her journey.
Expanding across reproductive health conditions
The company is now broadening its scope. It plans to include support for conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause, and hormonal health.
Each condition will have structured care pathways. This approach aims to help users navigate their health journey with clearer guidance and better organisation.
Combining AI with human oversight
myStoria uses a combination of artificial intelligence and trained professionals. At the centre of the platform is a “Context Engine.” This system organises health data, including medical records, symptoms, images, and appointment history, into a structured format.
As a result, AI-generated insights are based on a more complete health profile. In addition, trained professionals review these insights to ensure accuracy and relevance. This process helps deliver more personalised responses instead of generic information.
Platform availability and model
The platform is available on both iOS and Android. It follows a freemium model, allowing users to access basic features for free while offering advanced capabilities through paid options.
Investor perspective and long-term vision
Investors view myStoria as more than a consumer application. According to Graphite Ventures, the company is building infrastructure centred around patient-owned health data.
Similarly, Conexus Venture Capital highlighted the platform’s focus on giving patients more control over their medical information.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand beyond reproductive health. Its model could apply to other complex conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders. In these cases, patients often take on the responsibility of managing their care journey.
