Moove Secures $250 Million to Expand Autonomous Vehicle Fleet Operations

Dubai-headquartered mobility startup Moove has raised $250 million in a Series C funding round at a $2.1 billion valuation to accelerate its autonomous vehicle fleet operations.

The round was led by Mubadala Investment Company, with Woven Capital and Ion Pacific serving as co-lead investors.

From Vehicle Financing to Robotaxi Infrastructure

Founded in 2020 by Ladi Delano and Jide Odunsi, Moove began as a vehicle financing platform for ride-hailing drivers before expanding into fleet ownership and mobility operations.

Today, the company:

  • Operates a fleet of 42,000 vehicles

  • Is active across 14 countries

  • Employs more than 3,300 people globally

  • Continues to finance vehicles for gig economy drivers

In recent years, Moove has expanded into autonomous vehicle operations, positioning itself as the infrastructure partner that owns, operates, and manages robotaxi fleets.

Building the Backbone of the Robotaxi Industry

Moove currently serves as the fleet operator for Waymo in Phoenix, Miami, and Las Vegas, with London expected to join its operational footprint in the future.

The company manages vehicle operations, maintenance, servicing, cleaning, charging, and fleet orchestration while preparing to eventually own autonomous vehicle fleets through debt financing.

Moove also revealed it already owns robotaxis from another autonomous vehicle developer, although it did not disclose the partner's identity.

Funding to Expand Autonomous Fleet Infrastructure

The new capital will support:

  • Expansion of autonomous vehicle fleet operations

  • Hiring approximately 350 new employees

  • Development of automated robotaxi service depots ("Nests")

  • Robotics-powered charging and vehicle maintenance systems

  • Scaling global autonomous mobility infrastructure

The company said its traditional ride-hailing mobility business is expected to achieve full profitability this year.
