CoreMap Secures $37 Million in Series C Funding

Massachusetts-based CoreMap has raised $37 million in an oversubscribed Series C financing round led by Medtronic to accelerate the development of its next-generation electrophysiology mapping platform for atrial fibrillation (AF).

The round included participation from both new and existing investors. With this financing, CoreMap has nearly doubled the total funding raised since its founding in 2016.

AI-Powered Mapping for Atrial Fibrillation Treatment

CoreMap is developing an advanced electrophysiology mapping system designed to improve the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF)—a heart rhythm disorder that increases the risk of stroke.

Its platform combines:

  • High-density electrical mapping technology

  • Advanced data analytics

  • Real-time 3D electroanatomical mapping

The system analyzes electrical activation signals within the heart to generate patient-specific maps that help electrophysiologists better understand abnormal heart rhythms and support more targeted catheter ablation procedures.

According to the company, the goal is to provide clinicians with clearer insights into AF to enable more personalized treatment strategies.

Funding to Accelerate Commercial Development

CoreMap said the new capital will be used to accelerate the commercialization of its next-generation AF mapping platform and shorten its time to market.

CEO Sarah Kalil said the investment will help expand the company's efforts to deliver more precise, data-driven tools for electrophysiologists treating atrial fibrillation.

The financing also reflects growing industry interest in technologies that improve cardiac ablation procedures as demand for advanced electrophysiology solutions continues to rise.
