San Francisco-based startup Andera has raised $37 million in a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The company develops an AI-native platform designed for internal audit and corporate compliance testing. It plans to use the new funding to expand adoption among Fortune 100 companies, grow its engineering and customer success teams, and strengthen its automated controls database.
Founded by Aryo Patel and Tinah Hong, Andera focuses on automating manual compliance and audit workflows that are often managed through spreadsheets and traditional documentation systems.
Its platform supports Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), operational, and compliance testing processes. The system uses probabilistic search and long-context large language models to analyze large volumes of enterprise data, including PDFs, screenshots, and ledger records.
According to the company, the platform can automate control testing, generate audit assessments, and prepare compliance workpapers within a unified workflow.
Andera said its verification technology can reduce the time required for corporate SOX testing by up to 75%.
The company operates in a growing enterprise software segment where organizations are increasingly adopting AI tools to improve compliance operations and reduce manual workloads.
