Alive App, a Bengaluru-based AI-powered experience-tech platform, has raised $1 million in seed funding to expand its experience marketplace and technology infrastructure as it looks to increase how frequently urban consumers participate in leisure and experience-based activities.

The seed round was led by Powerhouse Ventures, with participation from Flipkart Ventures.

The latest funding follows a Rs 6 crore pre-seed round that Alive App raised from Powerhouse Ventures last year. The company plans to use the new capital to expand both its product capabilities and the supply of experiences available on the platform.

Building India's experience economy

Founded in 2023 by Vivek Kumar, Alive App is focused on helping consumers discover curated experiences across categories including adventure, food, wellness, art, culture and learning.

Rather than operating solely as an events marketplace, the company describes itself as building technology and supply infrastructure for India's broader experience economy.

The platform connects consumers with creators and partners offering activities across different categories.

Alive App currently operates across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Goa.

The company offers more than 500 experiences through a network of more than 400 creators and partners.

Its expansion strategy is focused not only on adding more cities and experiences but also on increasing the frequency with which existing users return to the platform.

From discovery to repeat usage

The company says the latest funding will support its effort to increase user frequency.

For experience marketplaces, acquiring a customer is only one part of the challenge. The business also needs consumers to repeatedly discover and book activities rather than treating experiences as occasional purchases.

Alive App is therefore targeting increased engagement across categories such as wellness, food, culture, adventure and learning.

The company is targeting three-times revenue growth over the next few months.

That growth target comes as Alive App expands its presence beyond Bengaluru, its first and largest market.

Expansion across major Indian cities

Over the past six months, Alive App has expanded into Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi while maintaining its presence in Goa.

The company says its experience supply in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Goa has grown five times faster than during its initial expansion phase.

Alive App currently adds around 100 new experiences every month.

This expansion gives consumers access to a broader range of activities while also increasing the number of creators and businesses that can use the platform to reach customers.

The company's presence across multiple large urban markets also gives it a larger potential audience for experience-based consumption.

First profitable quarter in Bengaluru

Alive App says it recorded its first profitable quarter in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru is both the company's first market and its largest market, giving the startup a base from which it is now expanding nationally.

Achieving profitability in its core market while continuing to invest in geographic expansion is an important part of the company's current growth strategy.

The startup is now attempting to replicate elements of its Bengaluru model in other cities while simultaneously increasing the amount of experience supply available to users.

Expanding the experience supply

The company says its platform currently features more than 500 experiences and works with more than 400 creators and partners.

Adding approximately 100 new experiences every month allows Alive App to continually refresh its marketplace.

The categories span a wide range of consumer activities.

Adventure experiences can sit alongside food-focused activities, wellness sessions, cultural events, art experiences and learning opportunities.

This broad category approach is designed around the idea that consumers may use the platform for different purposes depending on their interests and schedules.

The company is building its supply network alongside its technology platform, creating a marketplace where creators can reach urban consumers looking for curated activities.

Growing interest in experience-based consumption

Alive App is operating within a wider group of Indian startups focused on experiences, travel and curated urban activities.

Other platforms in the segment include Bucketlistt, which raised Rs 1.07 crore in pre-seed funding in June 2026 to build a curated marketplace for verified experiences.

Urbanaut focuses on curated city experiences, events, workshops, culinary pop-ups, wellness and cultural activities.

Experiential travel company WanderOn also raised Rs 54 crore in Series A funding in 2026.

These companies operate across different parts of the experience economy, but collectively reflect growing startup activity around discovery and experiential consumption.

Alive App is approaching the market through a broader experience marketplace covering multiple categories rather than concentrating on a single type of activity.

Powerhouse Ventures and Flipkart Ventures back the next phase

Powerhouse Ventures led Alive App's latest $1 million seed round, with Flipkart Ventures participating.

The investment follows Powerhouse's earlier backing of the startup through its Rs 6 crore pre-seed round.

The new capital will support product development, experience supply expansion and the company's efforts to increase user frequency.

For Flipkart Ventures, participation also places the investment within the broader evolution of India's consumer internet ecosystem, where technology platforms are increasingly being used to organize offline experiences alongside traditional digital commerce.

Scaling beyond Bengaluru

Alive App's next phase is focused on turning its presence in six markets into a larger national experience platform.

The startup has already expanded from Bengaluru and Goa into Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, while continuing to build its supply network.

Its reported first profitable quarter in Bengaluru provides a base for that expansion, while the addition of around 100 experiences every month gives the company a way to continually increase the range of activities available on the platform.

The company is targeting three-times revenue growth over the coming months.

With $1 million in fresh capital, more than 500 experiences, 400-plus creators and partners, and operations across six cities, Alive App is now attempting to scale its model across India's growing experience economy.

The central challenge will be turning discovery into repeat behaviour - getting urban consumers to use the platform not just when they want something to do, but as a regular destination for discovering what to do next.
