London-based Voxmind has raised £546.5K in a pre-seed funding round to support the growth of its voice authentication and deepfake detection platform.

The funding round was led by Ascension Ventures. Other participants included ScreenCloud co-founder Mark McDermott, angel investor Russell Hart, and members of the Cambridge angel network.

Funding to Support Commercial Growth

Voxmind plans to use the new capital to expand its commercial operations across financial services, telecommunications, and contact center industries.

In addition, the company aims to further improve its artificial intelligence models for edge deployment. It also plans to obtain ISO 27001 certification within the next eight months.

Building Voice Authentication and Deepfake Detection Tools

Founded by Jai Keerthi, Voxmind develops voice security software designed to authenticate users and detect synthetic or manipulated audio.

The company’s patent-pending technology analyzes phoneme frequency patterns and vocal tract characteristics. As a result, it can verify voices and identify potential deepfakes across different languages.

Unlike many cloud-based solutions, Voxmind’s technology operates directly on devices. Therefore, it does not require cloud infrastructure or dedicated GPU resources.

Expanding Enterprise Partnerships

Voxmind has already secured an OEM agreement with a unified communications hardware provider. Through this partnership, the company’s biometric software development kit (SDK) will be integrated into enterprise IP phone systems.

At the same time, Voxmind is developing its commercial pipeline in the United States community banking sector and the European telecommunications market.

The latest funding is expected to support the company’s efforts to scale its technology and expand customer adoption across regulated industries.
