These investments will cover areas including battery technology, power electronics, vehicle architecture and intelligent software.
Building Multiple EV Platforms
Ultraviolette has developed its own technology across several areas of electric vehicle development.
According to the company, its battery architectures range from 48V to 400V.
Its technology capabilities span different vehicle segments, allowing the company to develop electric motorcycles as well as newer categories such as scooters and enduro motorcycles.
The F77 represents the company's electric motorcycle platform, while the X-47 expands its motorcycle portfolio.
The upcoming Tesseract is expected to take the company into the electric scooter category, while the Shockwave will target the enduro motorcycle segment.
The latest funding will allow Ultraviolette to continue developing these products while investing in the underlying platforms and technologies that support them.
Manufacturing Capacity Expansion
The fundraise follows Ultraviolette's announcement of a new manufacturing facility with an annual production capacity of up to 500,000 units.
The manufacturing expansion is significant as the company prepares to increase production across its current and upcoming vehicle portfolio.
Scaling manufacturing capacity can also support Ultraviolette's plans to expand beyond India.
The company currently operates in India and 20 European countries, while its international roadmap includes the United States, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
The new production infrastructure is therefore being developed alongside a broader geographic expansion strategy.
US Expansion Planned for 2027

Ultraviolette is targeting a US launch in 2027.
The company also plans to expand into Latin America and Southeast Asia, building on its existing presence in European markets.
International expansion will require the company to adapt its vehicles and operations to different markets, while building the distribution and service infrastructure required to support customers.
Ultraviolette's current presence across 20 European countries provides an existing international footprint as it prepares for further expansion.
$151M Raised Across Disclosed Fundraises

That earlier funding included $21 million from TDK Ventures and $45 million from Zoho Corporation and Lingotto.

Over time, the company has expanded its focus from individual electric motorcycle products toward broader EV platforms.
Its technology development now includes battery systems, power electronics, vehicle architecture and intelligent software.
The company says its battery architectures cover applications ranging from 48V to 400V.
This technology base provides the foundation for its current electric motorcycles and upcoming vehicles.
The latest funding is expected to accelerate that platform approach, allowing Ultraviolette to continue developing technologies that can be applied across different vehicle categories.
The Next Phase of Expansion
Ultraviolette's latest $85 million fundraise comes at a transition point for the company.
