Australian neurotechnology company Omniscient has secured USD 27.2 million in a Series D funding round to support the expansion of its AI-powered brain analysis platform and advance new clinical applications.
The funding round was co-led by OIF Ventures and the Australian National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC). Existing investors, including Will Vicars and Gina Rinehart AO, also participated in the round.
Funding to Support Platform Expansion
Omniscient plans to use the capital to grow the commercial reach of its technology and accelerate product development. The company is also looking to expand into areas such as brain-computer interfaces (BCI), stroke care, and movement disorder treatment.
AI-Powered Brain Analysis Platform
Led by CEO Stephen Scheeler, Omniscient develops technology that applies artificial intelligence to brain mapping and analysis. The company focuses on connectomics, a field that studies connections within the brain.
Its flagship platform, Quicktome, provides data-driven insights that help healthcare professionals understand and evaluate neurological conditions. The platform is used across several areas, including cranial surgery, neuro-oncology, stroke treatment, and mental health care.
Focus on Personalized Brain Medicine
As the company expands its research and product capabilities, it aims to support more personalized approaches to neurological care. Omniscient is exploring applications for conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and depression.
The latest funding is expected to support the company's efforts to develop new clinical solutions and enter additional healthcare markets.
