NewLimit, a biotechnology company focused on cell reprogramming and longevity research, has raised $435 million in a Series C funding round.

The round was led by Founders Fund. Existing and new investors, including Thrive Capital, Greenoaks, Quiet Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Abstract, Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross, Valor Equity Partners, Eli Lilly Ventures, and Human Capital, also participated.

Funding to Support Clinical and Research Expansion

The company plans to use the new capital to advance its pipeline of age-reprogramming therapies. In addition, it aims to expand its computational biology capabilities and support the development of its lead liver-cell program.

Most importantly, NewLimit intends to move this program toward its first human clinical studies.

Focus on Cellular Aging Research

Founded by Brian Armstrong and Blake Byers, NewLimit is led by CEO and President Jacob Kimmel. The company develops technologies that explore how cellular aging can be reversed through gene regulation.

Its platform combines artificial intelligence and genomics research to identify transcription factor combinations that may help restore cellular function. The approach focuses on improving metabolic, vascular, and immune system health by targeting age-related cellular changes.

Lead Program Progresses Toward Human Trials

According to the company, its researchers have developed a prototype therapy that demonstrated age-reversal effects in older human liver cells during preclinical studies.

As a result, NewLimit has accelerated the development of its lead program. The company now expects to begin investigator-led human trials in late 2027.
