Delhi-based D2C streetwear and carry-first brand Indian Walker has raised an undisclosed amount in its first institutional funding round from Palette Wealth Management (PWM), at a post-money valuation of Rs 20 crore.

The funding marks an early institutional milestone for the young consumer brand, which is building a product portfolio around backpacks and other everyday carry products aimed at consumers looking for functional products with a contemporary streetwear positioning.

Indian Walker is part of CoFounder Circle (CFC) Venture Studio, a consumer-focused venture studio founded by entrepreneur Darpan Sanghvi.

The fresh capital is expected to support inventory expansion, category development and the launch of additional SKUs under the company's Level Up collection.

Indian Walker's First Institutional Round

The pre-seed investment from Palette Wealth Management represents Indian Walker's first institutional funding round.

While the company has not disclosed the amount raised, the transaction values Indian Walker at Rs 20 crore on a post-money basis.

The funding gives the company capital to increase inventory and expand the range of products available to consumers.

Indian Walker said the funds will primarily be used to strengthen its inventory position, expand its core categories and introduce new SKUs under its Level Up collection.

For an early-stage D2C consumer brand, inventory availability can play an important role in supporting product launches and meeting customer demand. The company is therefore using the capital to build out its product portfolio while preparing for a broader distribution strategy.

Building a Carry-First Streetwear Brand

Founded in 2025 by Md. Sakib, Indian Walker focuses on backpacks and other carry products designed for everyday commuting.

The company's positioning combines functionality with a contemporary streetwear aesthetic, targeting consumers looking for products that can be used for daily travel, work, education and other urban activities.

Its core backpacks are priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000, placing the brand in the mid-premium segment.

One of the company's key product lines is the Level Up collection, which is led by the Stride backpack.

According to the company, the collection has sold more than 10,000 units since launch.

That product traction is now being used as a foundation for expanding the collection with additional SKUs.

Expansion Across Digital Commerce Channels

Indian Walker currently sells its products through its own D2C website.

The company plans to expand its distribution footprint by launching on major ecommerce marketplaces including Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra in the next quarter.

It also plans to enter quick-commerce platforms and other marketplace channels.

The expansion would give Indian Walker access to a wider customer base beyond its existing direct-to-consumer channel.

For a consumer brand at the pre-seed stage, moving from a primarily owned D2C channel toward marketplaces and quick commerce can also provide additional routes for product discovery and customer acquisition.

The company has indicated that expanding its distribution network will be an important part of its growth strategy.

Building the Team

Alongside inventory and product expansion, Indian Walker plans to strengthen its core team.

The company intends to hire across marketing, social media and operations.

These functions will support the brand as it moves into additional ecommerce channels and expands its product range.

Marketing and social media will be important areas for building awareness in the competitive streetwear and contemporary fashion segment, while an expanded operations team can support inventory management, marketplace expansion and order fulfillment.

Targeting Rs 100 Crore ARR

Indian Walker has set an ambitious growth target for the next 24 months.

The company aims to reach Rs 100 crore in annual recurring revenue and build a customer base of more than 1 lakh.

The target will require the company to significantly expand both its customer acquisition and distribution footprint.

Its planned marketplace launches, quick-commerce expansion and continued development of the Level Up collection form part of the strategy for reaching a larger customer base.

The company is also looking to expand beyond its existing backpack offering through new SKUs and additional core categories.

Competition in India's Contemporary Fashion Market

Indian Walker is entering a competitive Indian streetwear and contemporary fashion market that already includes several established D2C and digitally native brands.

The broader segment includes names such as Bluorng, Huemn, Six5Six, Almost Gods, Gully Labs, The Souled Store and Freakins.

Other companies in the category have also attracted institutional capital as investors continue to back consumer brands targeting India's younger digital-first customer base.

Snitch, for example, raised around Rs 340 crore, or approximately $40 million, in a round led by 360 ONE Asset in 2025.

Gully Labs raised Rs 30 crore in a Series A round in January 2026, led by Saama Capital with participation from Zeropearl VC.

D2C denim brand Freakins previously raised $4 million from Matrix Partners India, Blume Ventures and other investors.

These funding activities illustrate the level of investor and consumer interest surrounding India's digitally native fashion and lifestyle brands.

The Road Ahead

With its first institutional funding secured, Indian Walker is now preparing for the next phase of its growth.

The company plans to deploy the capital toward inventory, product development and new SKUs while simultaneously expanding its team and distribution network.

Its Level Up collection has already crossed 10,000 units in sales, providing an early product traction point as the company prepares to introduce more offerings.

The next stage will see Indian Walker expand beyond its D2C website into Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra, followed by planned quick-commerce and additional marketplace launches.

Founded only in 2025, the company is targeting more than 1 lakh customers and Rs 100 crore in ARR over the next 24 months.

The undisclosed pre-seed investment from Palette Wealth Management, at a Rs 20 crore post-money valuation, gives Indian Walker additional capital to pursue those goals while building its presence in India's growing D2C streetwear and lifestyle market.
