Beelzebub Secures €3 Million in Seed Funding
Milan-based cybersecurity startup Beelzebub has raised €3 million in Seed funding to expand its AI-native cybersecurity platform.
The round was led by United Ventures.
The latest investment brings the company's total funding to €3.3 million.
Led by CEO Mario Candela, Beelzebub develops an AI-powered cybersecurity platform designed to detect and respond to increasingly sophisticated AI-driven cyberattacks.
Using AI to Defend Against AI-Powered Threats
Beelzebub's platform operates on an assumed breach security model by deploying LLM-powered deception traps throughout an organization's infrastructure.
These AI-generated decoys mimic real digital assets—including servers, databases, APIs, and cloud systems—to identify attackers early. When malicious activity is detected, the platform automatically isolates affected systems, initiates incident response actions, and reverse-engineers malware to generate detailed incident reports.
The company currently serves enterprise customers worldwide and is supported by a network of more than 60 independent cybersecurity researchers.
Expanding Research and Global Operations
The newly raised capital will be used to expand Beelzebub's research team, open new commercial offices in Rome and San Francisco by the end of the year, and accelerate customer acquisition across Europe.
The company aims to strengthen enterprise cybersecurity as AI-powered threats continue to evolve.
