Antares Secures $470 Million in Series C Funding

Torrance, California-based Antares has raised $470 million in Series C funding to accelerate the development and deployment of its compact nuclear microreactors for defense and space applications.

The round was co-led by Paradigm and Caffeinated Capital, with participation from Point72 Ventures, Shine Capital, Industrious Ventures, and other investors.

The latest financing brings the company's total funding to more than $600 million.

Led by CEO Jordan Bramble, Antares develops factory-built nuclear microreactors designed to provide long-duration, autonomous power for defense installations and space missions.

Developing Compact Nuclear Power Systems

Antares specializes in compact nuclear fission microreactors that are engineered to operate safely for years without requiring refueling.

The company's factory-built reactors are designed to deliver uninterrupted power for military installations, strengthen energy resilience, and support defense and space operations where reliable off-grid power is essential.

Antares currently operates facilities in Torrance, California; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Aiken, South Carolina.

Its customers include the U.S. Air Force and the Department of War.

Accelerating Commercial Deployment

The newly raised capital will support Antares' transition from demonstrated reactor technology to deployed power systems.

The company plans to launch its Mark-1 electricity-producing reactor in 2027 and begin initial production deployments for defense customers in 2028.

The investment will also support continued manufacturing and commercialization of its compact nuclear energy platform.
