Role overview
Summary
This role involves redesigning the Salesforce user experience for sales and revenue teams, focusing on UI/UX improvements to enhance rep productivity. The developer will design and build custom Lightning Web Components, audit existing interfaces, and ensure a consistent, intuitive CRM experience.
About the Role
We are hiring a Salesforce Developer with a UI/UX focus for a 12-month contract to improve the CRM experience for Sales and Revenue teams. You will redesign Salesforce interfaces to make them faster, clearer, and more intuitive, working with Sales, RevOps, Marketing, Data, and end users.
This is a hands-on development role involving UX design, prototyping, and building custom interfaces using Lightning Web Components (LWC).
What You Will Do
Audit Salesforce Lightning pages, console apps, list views, and home pages to identify usability issues and productivity improvements.
Develop a prioritised roadmap of UI enhancements based on user needs and business goals.
Design, prototype, and validate improved layouts, workflows, and components with sales representatives.
Build custom Lightning Web Components and supporting Apex code where required.
Configure Lightning App Builder, Dynamic Forms, Dynamic Actions, and console apps.
Create reusable components following Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) conventions.
Conduct usability testing, feedback sessions, and pilot releases with representatives and managers.
Monitor adoption, page performance, and user satisfaction to measure improvements.
Prepare release notes, user walkthroughs, and technical documentation.
Follow source control, code review, sandbox, and release management standards.
Collaborate with administrators, architects, and data teams to ensure compatibility with Salesforce data models, security, and automation.
Share Lightning UX patterns and LWC best practices with the global team.
Requirements
Must Have:
Proven experience developing production-ready Lightning Web Components.
Strong knowledge of Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce data models.
Expertise in Lightning Experience customisation, including App Builder, Dynamic Forms, page layouts, console apps, and Flows.
Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD or deployment processes.
User-focused UX mindset, with the ability to understand problems, explain design decisions, and incorporate feedback.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across global time zones.
Nice to Have:
Portfolio or examples of delivered Salesforce UI projects.
Experience with SLDS, Figma or similar prototyping tools, and WCAG accessibility principles.
Sales Cloud experience, particularly opportunity management, account planning, and pipeline workflows.
Experience with Jest testing for LWC.
Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I, or Platform App Builder.
Experience profiling and optimising Lightning page performance.
Success Metrics
Month 3: Complete the UX audit and agree on a prioritised roadmap with Sales leadership.
Month 6: Launch the first redesigned pages and components for a pilot group, establishing adoption and feedback benchmarks.
Month 12: Roll out the redesigned experience to target teams, establish a maintained component library, and complete documentation and handover.
