Summary

The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in the daily operations of CCH properties, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and maintaining high standards for resident relations and property management. Key responsibilities include file management, processing applications, conducting inspections, and supervising site personnel.

Job Summary

The Assistant Property Managers assist the Property Manager with day-to-day management of CCH managed property.


Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains physical and electronic files at a high standard according to CCH policy.

  • Ensures accurate and timely entries to property management software program including, but not limited to: posting rent, entering service requests, processing applications and certifications, entering purchase orders and invoicing.

  • Adheres to Fair Housing, landlord laws, HOME, Section 42 Tax Credit and/or HUD Section 8 Program compliance.

  • Assists with the supervision of site personnel, including interviewing, hiring, training, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.

  • Conducts and tracks health and safety quality control inspections to detect possible violations of housing quality standards.

  • Monitors and documents security events, maintenance issues and problematic visitor and resident behavior.

  • Provides a high level of customer service and maintains positive resident relations through good communication.

  • Distributes notices to residents as required.

  • Assumes the duties of the Property Manager if there is a vacancy, absence, or vacation.


Education and Work Experience

  • Two years experience in affordable housing preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a real estate related field strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Section 42 Tax Credit, Section 8 Programs, and Equal Housing Opportunity laws preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Consistently superb customer service skills; excellent interpersonal/assertive communications skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence.

  • Knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to and a desire to work with underserved populations.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Office 360, etc.

  • Able to work weekends as directed.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet CCH automobile insurance eligibility.
