WATER Raises $2.5M to Build Adaptive Physical AI for Everyday Surfaces

Hyderabad-based physical AI startup WATER has raised $2.5 million in funding led by Endiya Partners, with participation from Pullela Gopichand, Darwinbox co-founder Rohit Chennamaneni and Swiggy co-founder Nandan Reddy.

Founded by Teja Vinukollu, Founder and CEO of WATER, the company is developing adaptive intelligent surfaces that sense, understand and respond to the human body in real time.

WATER currently has two products: FLOW, an adaptive chair focused on posture, movement and load during seated interaction, and CAMA, an adaptive bed focused on sleep, recovery and respiration.

The company describes this approach as “Bio Physical Intelligence”, with the aim of embedding intelligence into physical surfaces that interact with people throughout the day.

According to Vinukollu, the new funding will support WATER’s continued technical validation, including testing whether the intelligence developed by its models can transfer effectively across different products and users.

The company is targeting applications where physical environments can respond dynamically to human needs rather than simply collecting data.

The latest round gives WATER additional capital to continue validating its technology and develop its adaptive surface platform from an early-stage physical AI concept toward broader applications.
