Patronus AI Raises $50M in Series B Funding for AI Infrastructure

San Francisco-based startup Patronus AI has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round to expand its AI evaluation and simulation infrastructure.
The round was led by Greenfield Partners. Existing investors including Notable Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Datadog, Samsung, and Factorial Capital also participated. Angel investor Gokul Rajaram joined the round as a strategic investor.
The company plans to use the new funding to strengthen its research operations, expand its software engineering teams, and increase the computational infrastructure needed to scale its simulation environments.
Focus on AI Evaluation and Simulation
Founded by Anand Kannappan and Rebecca Qian, Patronus AI develops infrastructure designed to test, evaluate, and simulate AI systems. The company builds what it describes as “Digital World Models,” which are designed to replicate enterprise software environments, multi-turn conversations, and finance-related workflows.
These systems are used to train and evaluate long-horizon autonomous AI agents across enterprise use cases.
Expansion Plans Following Revenue Growth
Patronus AI said it has raised a total of $70 million to date. The company also reported significant annualized revenue growth over the past year.
In addition, Patronus AI has introduced open-source AI evaluation tools and benchmarks, including Lynx and FinanceBench, which are focused on hallucination detection and performance testing for AI models.
