MakeO, the Mumbai-based parent company of clear aligner brand Toothsi, has raised ₹90 crore (approximately $9.5 million) in a funding round led by Singularity AMC. DSP Family Office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures also participated in the round.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its dental technology business across India and Southeast Asia. The investment follows MakeO's efforts to grow through acquisitions and expand its network of dental care services across multiple markets.

Founded in 2018, MakeO initially launched Toothsi, a clear aligner brand focused on teeth straightening. It later brought Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella, building a broader platform for dental, skin and hair treatments.

The latest funding comes as the company pursues regional expansion, following an announced agreement to acquire Singapore-based dental care startup Zenyum and its earlier acquisition of Apple Dental in India.

Singularity AMC Leads MakeO's ₹90 Crore Funding Round

The latest ₹90 crore investment was led by Singularity AMC, with participation from DSP Family Office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures.

Before this round, MakeO had raised more than $100 million from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and Paramark Ventures.

In June 2025, the company raised ₹100 crore from existing investors. Earlier, in January 2024, it secured $16 million in a funding round led by 360 ONE Asset and the investment office of Ashish Kacholia.

The new capital is intended to support MakeO's expansion across India and Southeast Asia as it develops its dental technology business and builds on its existing network of clinics and partner dentists.

Acquisitions Expand MakeO's Dental Care Network

MakeO's expansion strategy has included acquisitions aimed at strengthening its presence in the dental care market.

In February 2026, the company announced an agreement to acquire Singapore-based dental care startup Zenyum. The deal is intended to help MakeO expand across Southeast Asian markets through the combined business networks.

In 2025, MakeO acquired Apple Dental, a chain of 20 dental clinics across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The acquisition was completed for ₹10.98 crore through a combination of cash and stock, according to the supplied report.

Following these developments, the company reports a network of approximately 1,100 partner dentists across 10 countries. It also operates more than 60 offline clinical centres and says it has served over 400,000 consumers.

The acquisitions complement Toothsi's clear aligner business by extending MakeO's reach across dental services and markets.

Toothsi's Manufacturing and Distribution Network

MakeO operates an aligner planning and manufacturing facility in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with an annual production capacity exceeding one million aligners.

Its products reach dentists and consumers in more than 150 Indian cities. Through the Toothsi and Zenyum networks, the company also exports to over 10 countries.

This manufacturing and distribution infrastructure supports its ambition to scale the business across a wider geographic footprint. Its network of partner dentists and offline clinical centres also provides channels for delivering dental treatments alongside its technology-led services.

As the company expands, its ability to coordinate manufacturing, clinical services and distribution across different markets will be important to its growth plans.

From Toothsi to a Broader Consumer Healthcare Platform

MakeO was founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kal.

The business initially launched Toothsi as a clear aligner brand. In September 2022, it brought Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella, positioning the company as a platform offering dental, skin and hair treatments.

The business has since continued to focus on dental technology while pursuing opportunities to expand its service network and geographic presence.

The combination of online services, manufacturing capabilities, partner dentists and offline clinical centres gives MakeO multiple channels through which to reach customers.

Its expansion into Southeast Asia through Zenyum is another step in extending that model beyond India.

MakeO Reports ₹500 Crore in Revenue and EBITDA Profitability

MakeO said its combined business has crossed ₹500 crore in revenue and achieved EBITDA profitability earlier in 2026.

The company aims to double its revenue over the next two to three years. The latest funding is expected to support its expansion plans as it seeks to grow its business across India and Southeast Asia.

The company has not disclosed a detailed breakdown of revenue by brand or geography in the supplied report. Its future performance will depend on how effectively it integrates acquisitions, expands its customer base and scales its dental technology operations.

The ₹90 crore funding round adds to MakeO's previous capital raises and provides further resources for its growth strategy.

With Toothsi, the announced Zenyum acquisition and the Apple Dental clinic network, MakeO is building a business that combines dental products, technology, manufacturing and clinical services. Its next phase will test whether this model can support sustained growth across multiple markets while maintaining profitability.
