FriskAI Raises $3.6 Million in Pre-Seed Funding

Los Angeles-based AI infrastructure startup FriskAI has emerged from stealth with $3.6 million in pre-seed funding to help enterprises monitor and understand the actions of AI agents after they are deployed.

The round was led by MaC Venture Capital, with participation from Wischoff Ventures, NEA partner Rick Yang, and strategic angel investors.

The company is focused on helping organizations gain visibility into AI agents that interact with databases, internal tools, and customer systems.

Monitoring AI Agents in Production

FriskAI provides tooling designed to sit between an AI agent and the tools it accesses.

The platform logs agent actions, allowing security and compliance teams to see what an agent did, when it happened, and whether its behavior fell outside expected patterns.

According to founder and CEO Neel Palrecha, companies already have monitoring systems for servers, applications, and employees, but lack comparable runtime intelligence for AI agents.

Focus on Regulated Industries

FriskAI is targeting sectors where AI agents can interact with sensitive systems and data, including:

The company is addressing a growing challenge as enterprises move AI agents from experimental pilots into production environments.

Traditional monitoring tools are generally designed around predictable software behavior, while AI agents can make decisions and take actions dynamically.

Building AI Agent Observability

FriskAI was founded in 2025 by Neel Palrecha in Los Angeles.

Palrecha previously worked on production systems at Apple, Headspace, Snapdocs, and PlayVS.

The company positions its platform around operational visibility, security, and compliance for deployed AI agents.

Customer Adoption

Jason Moore, a staff software engineer at Sana Benefits, said FriskAI provides operational visibility that helps the company troubleshoot issues and deploy AI with greater confidence.

FriskAI is entering a growing market for AI agent security and observability.

Other companies in the broader space include Manifold, Geordie AI, NeuralTrust, Oasis Security, and InfiniteWatch, which focus on areas including agent security, governance, machine identities, endpoint protection, and observability.

Funding to Expand the Team

FriskAI will use its $3.6 million in funding to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams.

The company is betting that enterprises will increasingly need clear records of AI agent activity before they can confidently trust autonomous systems with important decisions and business processes.
