Enigma Secures $71 Million in Seed Funding
San Francisco-based Enigma has raised $71 million in Seed funding to accelerate the development of foundation AI models for robotics.
The round was led by Index Ventures and Ribbit Capital, with participation from Conviction Partners and leaders from OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepMind, xAI, Cognition, Wiz, and other organizations.
Led by Co-Founder and CEO Jonathan Jacobi and Co-Founder Gal Niv, Enigma develops AI foundation models that enable robots to operate across different hardware platforms.
Building Foundation Models for Physical AI
Enigma is focused on developing physical AI software that brings intelligence to robots regardless of the underlying hardware.
Its platform trains AI foundation models that support robot-agnostic software and new user interfaces, allowing robotic systems to perform tasks across multiple environments and device types.
By separating intelligence from hardware, the company aims to make advanced robotics more adaptable and scalable across industries.
Expanding Research and Real-World Deployments
The newly raised funding will be used to expand Enigma's research and engineering teams, increase compute capacity, and accelerate real-world deployments of its AI platform.
The company currently works with partners across the entertainment, retail, and healthcare sectors.
