Dopl Technologies Secures $6.3 Million in Seed Funding
Bothell, Washington-based Dopl Technologies has raised $6.3 million in Seed funding to accelerate the development of its robotic ultrasound platform.
The round was led by SpringTide Ventures, with participation from WRF Capital, Tacoma Venture Fund, HeartX, Transform Health Ventures, Precursor Ventures, and other investors.
The latest investment brings the company's total funding to more than $8 million.
Led by CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Ryan James, Dopl Technologies develops AI-powered robotic ultrasound solutions designed to improve access to diagnostic imaging through remote clinical expertise.
Combining Robotics and AI for Remote Ultrasound
Dopl Technologies' platform integrates robotics, artificial intelligence, and telehealth capabilities to enable remote diagnostic ultrasound services.
Its product ecosystem includes:
Traverse – a remote robotic ultrasound system.
Dopl Connect – a secure connectivity and medical data platform.
SonoFlex – a workforce and workflow management solution that enables sonographers to perform ultrasound examinations remotely on demand.
The company currently serves critical access hospitals across Washington State through its existing ultrasound service, CareBridge.
Preparing for FDA Clearance
The newly raised capital will be used to pursue FDA clearance for Dopl Technologies' product ecosystem.
Funding will support product verification and validation, FDA submission activities, clinical evaluation, and the company's initial commercial market launch.
The investment will help accelerate deployment of AI-enabled robotic ultrasound technology for healthcare providers.
