DaMENSCH has raised Rs 17.40 crore in fresh funding from existing investor A91 Partners and new investor Tancom Electronics, with the company's valuation remaining flat at around Rs 600 crore.
The latest capital infusion comes as India's direct-to-consumer men's apparel market becomes increasingly competitive, putting greater pressure on brands to balance revenue growth with profitability and efficient distribution.
A91 Partners Leads Fresh Capital Infusion
According to regulatory filings, DaMENSCH's board approved the allotment of 887 compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) to A91 Partners at an issue price of Rs 1,69,052 per share, helping the company raise Rs 15 crore.
Separately, Tancom Electronics subscribed to 168 CCPS at Rs 1,42,692 per share, investing Rs 2.40 crore.
Together, the two transactions brought Rs 17.40 crore of fresh capital into the company.
Entrackr estimates DaMENSCH's valuation at approximately Rs 600 crore, broadly flat compared with its previous valuation.
The company said the new funds will be used for business requirements and to support its growth.
Building a D2C Men's Fashion Brand
Founded in 2018 by Anurag Saboo and Gaurav Pushkar, DaMENSCH is a men's fashion and lifestyle brand offering innerwear, casualwear and everyday apparel.
The company sells through its own platform as well as online marketplaces.
DaMENSCH has raised more than $28 million to date. Its previous major funding round was a $16.6 million Series B led by A91 Partners in February 2022, followed by a Rs 21.62 crore extended Series B round from existing investors in May 2024.
A91 Partners remains the company's largest shareholder with a 22.45% stake. Matrix holds 12.76%, while Saama Capital and Whiteboard Capital own 11.14% and 9.61%, respectively. Co-founders Gaurav Pushkar and Anurag Saboo each hold 10.87%.
Growth Is Rising, But Profitability Remains a Challenge
DaMENSCH's latest funding comes against a backdrop of intense competition in India's D2C men's apparel market.
The company reported 34% revenue growth to Rs 118 crore in FY25. Competitor XYXX grew 46% to Rs 187 crore during the same period and narrowed its loss to Rs 25.5 crore, while Bummer reported 22% revenue growth to Rs 11 crore but saw its losses double.
The numbers highlight the central challenge facing India's D2C apparel brands: growing revenue is no longer enough. Companies increasingly need to demonstrate stronger repeat purchases, distribution economics and a credible path toward profitability.
DaMENSCH's latest Rs 17.40 crore funding gives the company additional capital to navigate this competitive phase while maintaining its valuation at around Rs 600 crore.
