Summary and responsibilities

Role overview

Summary

As the first Director of Go-to-Market Engineering at Perk, you will lead the strategy, architecture, and hands-on development of automated systems to optimize the revenue organization. This role involves defining the GTM engineering stack, building agentic workflows, and automating processes across SDR, Account Executive, and Account Management functions to drive commercial outcomes.

Director of Go-to-Market Engineering – Perk

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in-office at Perk hubs across Europe or North America)

Reporting To: VP of Revenue Operations

About the Role

Perk’s revenue organization comprises 800 people selling to 10,000+ businesses worldwide. We are hiring our first Director of GTM Engineering to replace manual sales workflows with scalable, automated systems and AI agents.

This is a high-impact, player-coach role for a builder-leader who can write code, build production pipelines in Clay, guide a senior distributed engineering team, and partner with regional Sales VPs to translate commercial pipeline challenges into high-performing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. GTM Strategy, Architecture & Governance

• Define the end-to-end GTM engineering architecture across CRM, enrichment, signals, routing, and data layers.

• Own tooling evaluation, consolidation, and vendor selection, ensuring clear ROI.

• Establish engineering best practices: version control, documentation, automated testing, monitoring, and rollback strategies.

2. Hands-On Building & Orchestration

• Build production-grade Clay tables, multi-source waterfall enrichment, webhooks, and AI column logic.

• Architect orchestration layers (n8n, Make, Workato) determining record flow, qualification, and routing logic.

• Develop LLM-based agentic workflows to automate account research, summarization, meeting prep, and CRM data hygiene.

• Write production code/queries as needed (Python, SQL, SOQL, or TypeScript).

3. Funnel Automation Across SDR, AE & AM

• Prospecting: Automate global account sourcing, TAM enrichment, ICP scoring, intent capture, and distribution.

• AE Enablement: Remove admin drag with automated CRM data capture, quote workflows, and meeting briefing docs.

• Account Management: Build automated risk signals, whitespace opportunity detection, and account planning views.

4. Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment

• Lead and grow a senior GTM engineering team across Europe and North America.

• Translate commercial revenue bottlenecks into technical builds, measuring success by pipeline conversion and rep capacity unlocked.

What We’re Looking For

• Background: Extensive track record in RevOps, GTM Engineering, Growth Engineering, or Sales Systems within B2B SaaS, delivering systems relied upon by hundreds of sellers.

• Technical Depth:

- Proven production expertise in Clay (complex logic, waterfalls, webhooks, AI formulas).

- Deep Salesforce fluency (data models, limits, APIs, integration patterns).

- Hands-on coding skills in at least one: Python, SQL, SOQL, or TypeScript.

- Familiarity across the modern GTM stack (e.g., 6sense, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Snowflake, dbt, LLM tools).

• Commercial Acumen: Ability to dissect pipeline metrics with executive sales leadership and identify when to automate vs. simplify.

• Nice to Have: Experience standing up GTM engineering in a $100M+ ARR environment, leading global multi-region rollouts (EMEA/NA).

Why Join Perk?

• First person in the seat: Shape the automation engine for a $300M+ ARR global SaaS leader with executive backing and serious budget.

• High leverage: Eliminate administrative friction for an 800-person commercial team.

• IRL-first culture: 3 days/week on-site collaboration with relocation assistance available for key hubs.
