This role involves daily updating and maintaining S&P Global Market Intelligence databases with accurate financial and economic data from various sources. The Data Researcher will collaborate with subject matter experts and internal economists to ensure data quality, compliance, and consistency, while also performing thorough quality checks and utilizing data ingestion tools.

The team looks after the S&P Global Market Intelligence databases, making sure the financial and economic data is correct and updated on time for different regions. They work closely with experts and other teams to keep the data quality high, encouraging teamwork and open communication. Responsibilities:

  • Data Updates: Update and maintain the S&P Global Market Intelligence databases daily, ensuring all data is current and accurate while processing updates from diverse sources such as Central Banks, Statistical Offices, Government Agencies, and Private Sources.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to uphold data quality and ensure compliance with regional standards, while effectively communicating with internal economists and stakeholders regarding data needs and updates.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain feed guides, ensuring they are up to date with the latest processes and procedures

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on data updates to confirm accuracy and consistency across the databases and run regular reports to assess data coverage and relevance.

  • Tool Utilization: Utilize various data ingestion tools, including dedicated parsers and Excel Add-ins, to enhance data processing efficiency and stay informed about the latest tools and technologies that can improve workflows.

  • Training and Development: Engage in training sessions to remain current on best practices and SOPs related to data management, while sharing knowledge and insights with team members to promote a collaborative work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s/Masters, Economics or a related field.

  • Experience in data management or a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Good command of Microsoft Office products, Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database management tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
